Where does this come in? For most of us, we have chase card(s) in each set. packs in booster boxes are dependent what is in one pack DOES affect the others. However, that creates a huge difference - loose packs are independent what is in one pack does not affect the others. In 36 loose packs it’s the same rate but you could end up with 10 hits or 0. The only difference is that in a booster box you have a “set” amount of pulls (full art or better) usually 2 per box, sometimes 1 sometimes 3. Usually, people asking this are interested in which has better pull rates, but the reality is the pull rates are the same no matter what. The answer is loose packs - but not for the reason you’re thinking. People ask all the time whether it’s better to open up loose boosters or a booster box. Prices are the same (this is sometimes true).Pull rates are the same (this is actually true).Edit: this isn’t especially serious, it’s a tiny “benefit” that I thought was interesting.
